<div class="intro">To determine your Evergreen login name and default password use the following example below. Be sure to use the exact name and birth date you provided to the college when you enrolled.</div>

What is my default student login?
# Take the first 3 letters of your last name
# add the first 3 letters of your first name
# add the 2 digit day you were born

Example: Ima Greener was born on December 01, 1981. Her login name is: greima01

What is my default student password
# Take the 2 digit day you were born (the same two numbers that end your login)
# add the first three characters of the month you were born in (all lower case)
# add the last 2 digits of the year you were born in

Example: Ima Greener - born on December 01, 1981. Her default password is 01dec81

Note: Do not need to include the "@evergreen.edu" when logging in.

Former Students
After you leave Evergreen, your student login will be inactivated. You may request a new, "former student" login here: https://my.evergreen.edu/public/user_request.

Former student login names are created from the first and last name that is submitted with the request, with no spaces and all lower case letters. So the typical former student login name will be like "firstlast."

Need More Help?
Email
If you use your Evergreen email, notify those you correspond with about the change to your email address. If you have not been forwarding your Evergreen email to an outside address, and you have messages in your Evergreen mailbox that you want to save, we recommend:

*Forward your emails individually from Evergreen's Webmail to an outside address.
*For the technologically adventuresome, you can retrieve the entire contents of your Evergreen mailbox by creating an IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) account on your computer. This is neither terribly difficult nor super easy to do. Here is an IMAP Overview.

We are happy to help you manage your email through this transition. Please contact us with any questions - X6231 or email.
Evaluations
Evaluations that you created inside MyEvergreen may be saved as PDFs to your own computer. You may of course print these evals, as well. Narrative evaluations from your faculty and your own self evaluations make up an Evergreen transcript. The Registration Office will always be available to produce official and unofficial transcripts for you.

Evergreen Blogs
All blogs will be deleted 60 days from the date that the logins have been disabled. You can backup your blog posts and pages to a text file and import them later into another off-site blogging service. Please note: any media uploaded to Evergreen's blog server will have to be saved manually. For instructions see: Exporting Blog Entries
Network File Space
All network resources (including network file space) will be deleted 60 days from the date that the logins have been disabled. It is important that students wishing to preserve materials in these folders make their own copies before this date.

<div class="intro">For two weeks after you receive notification of account deactivation, you can still use your login. ====Email====

Evaluations
Evaluations that you created inside the MyEvergreen application may be saved as PDFs to your own computer. You may of course print these evals, as well.

Stop getting messages from Evergreen, All Student DL, etc..
If you don't want to get messages from Evergreen between when you leave and when the account is disabled, the best way to do this is to uncheck forwarding (if you forward your Evergreen email to another provider) through my.evergreen.edu under Account Settings, email.

Evaluations
Evaluations that you created inside the MyEvergreen application may be saved as PDFs to your own computer. You may of course print these evals, as well. The Registration Office will always be available to produce official and unofficial transcripts for you.

__NOTOC__
<div class="intro">The first two weeks after you receive notification, you can still use your login. After two weeks, your account will be locked. Eight weeks from when the account is locked it will be deleted. for more on this, see the Evergreen Login Deactivation Timeline. We also have a Deactivation Details page which specifies how best to deal with your data such as email, fileshares, personal web sites, etc.</div>

Email
If you use your Evergreen email, notify those you correspond with about the change to your email address. If you have email messages in your Evergreen mailbox that you want to save, there are a couple of options:
*Set up an IMAP email client on your computer. See the IMAP Instructions for details.
*Forward your emails individually from Evergreen's Webmail to an outside address.

All network resources (including web space) will be deleted 60 days from the date that the logins have been disabled. It is important that students wishing to preserve materials in these folders make their own copies before this date.
