I hope this works. My 2 paragraph response to chapter 5 is as follows...
The major points in chapter five of Foundations of Restoration Ecology are that ecosystems are very complex and as restorationists we need to consider everything that may be affected. This is a very detailed and difficult job, because there are so many things to know, and to know them all is impossible. The main ideas are that loss of species are an endangerment to our way of life, and that if those goods and services are not protected then the ecosystems could collapse. We need to work twards protecting and restoring whole ecosytems, not just one species at a time. Forming and maintaining species diversity is of the utmost importance.
