Currently, you may only reset a password for an account you have activated (logged into at least once.)
To Reset your FS Account Password
- Ensure you have logged in at least once before, or this process won't work
- Visit the self-service reset page
- Enter your username and confirm you are not a robot
- Locate the email with your verification code in your personal email's inbox (or spam/junk folders)
- Enter the code and you will then be presented with the option to create a new password
I am receiving an error while trying to reset my password
- If the system reports an error when you try to reset, it means one of two things.
- You need to request your account be reactivated. You can do so by filling out the Former Student Account Request form.
- Or
- You need to clear the cookies and cache in your browser. Instructions on how to do so in most browsers can be found in this article from Harvard University, Clear your browser cache.
