Zoom has a feature where Hosts can enable up to 20 participants to be language interpreters for a meeting.

Important Notes

  • Language Interpretation needs to be enabled in the Host's account before they can add it to a meeting.
  • Language Interpretation needs to be added to a meeting before the meeting is started.
  • Language Interpretation cannot be used with Personal Meeting IDs.
  • Language Interpretation cannot be used in breakout rooms.
  • Language Interpretation cannot be added to a meeting when scheduling via Canvas.
    • Schedule the meeting via Canvas and then go to evergreen.zoom.us and add it to the meeting.

Enabling Language Interpretation

  • By default, Language Interpretation is turned off for all users.
  • Hosts need to enable Language Interpretation for their account before they can add it to a meeting
  • Go to evergreen.zoom.us and sign in with your Evergreen account
  • In the navigation panel, click Settings.
    1. Click the Meeting tab.
    2. Under In Meeting (Advanced), click the Language Interpretation toggle to enable or disable it.
