The Mac Studio has built-in speakers and a Universal Audio Apollo x8
Most applications are configured to use the Universal Audio Apollo x8.

Grace m906 Monitor Controller
The Grace m906 monitor controller is used to select audio sources and to adjust the volume.
Main Volume Knob
- The big silver knob on the lower right is used to set the volume.
- Double click the main level knob
- This will set the volume to 65dB
- adjust as needed
- Double click the main level knob
Analog Input Buttons
- On the top left are the analog input select buttons:
- Mac = Universal Audio Apollo x8
- Blu-Ray = Blu-Ray player
- 802 Mixer = The Control Room output of the small mixer on top of the equipment rack
Channel Solo/Mute
- The channel solo/mute buttons can be used to solo or mute specific channels.
- The solo/mute button on the right sets the mode.
- Green, the buttons are in Solo mode.
- Red, the buttons are in Mute mode.
- Press the channel buttons to solo or mute a specific channel.
Speaker Select Buttons
- On the lower right are the speaker select buttons
- 1 = Yamaha receiver
- Audio will play through the speakers selected on the Yamaha receiver.
- 2 = Nearfields
- Audio will play through the speakers on the computer desk
- 1 = Yamaha receiver
Other Buttons
- Mono: press down to monitor in mono.
- Dim: pressing the button lowers the volume by 20dB
- Mute: turns the volume all the way off.
Switcher
- The video switcher selects the source for the data projector and changes the input of the Yamaha receiver.
- HDMI = CBL/SAT
- VGA = CBL/SAT
- Mac = CBL/SAT
- CCAM = CBL/SAT
- VCR = CBL/SAT
- Blu-Ray = DVD
Yamaha Receiver
Inputs
- Selecting Mac on the Switcher will set the Yamaha to Multichannel Input.
- This will pass any Mono, Stereo, or 5.1 audio out to the speakers.
- If audio is not coming out of the speakers, press the "Multi CH Input" button on the Yamaha Receiver.
Speaker Select
- Two sets of speakers are powered by the Yamaha
- A = the small surround sound speakers
- B = the large JBL speakers
- There is a very tiny A or B letter that appears in the middle left of the Yamaha display
- Both sets can be on simultaneously.
- Only select one set.
Surround Outputs
The Universal Audio Apollo x8 is the audio interface connected to the computer.
Outputs 1-6 are used to connect to the 5.1 surround system
- Output 1 = Left
- Output 2 = Right
- Output 3 = Center
- Output 4 = LFE
- Output 5 = Left Surround
- Output 6 = Right Surround
