If you don't have access to InDesign from where you will print it may be easier to first convert your InDesign document to a High Quality PDF. This will generate a layout spread (numbered pages are in sequential order) which can be converted to a printer spread using the Adobe Reader Booklet feature.
Export an open In Design document to PDF
- Choose File > Export
- Specify a name and location for the file
- For Save As Type choose Adobe PDF (Print), and then click Save
Open PDF in Acrobat Reader
- Launch Acrobat Reader and go File > Open and locate your PDF
- Go File > Print
- Choose the Booklet tab from Page Sizing and Handling
