AVCHD (Advanced Video Coding High Definition) is a file-based format for the recording and playback of high definition video. The Vixia video cameras at Media Loan use the AHCHD format.
File Management
When working with AVCHD files it's important to not remane the files and edit any of the contents of the AVCHD folder.
Copying Files from the Memory Card
- Create a new folder on the desktop with a meaningful name for the footage.
- Put the camera in USB mode or remove the memory card and use a memory card reader
- Open the Memory card
- Open the PRIVATE folder
- Drag the AHCHD file to your folder on the desktop.
