Problems we saw at the final presentation:

  • images that were wider than the iframe width lost the scroll bar to navigate down the page. Note our iframe width and make sure images are not wider than this.
  • WPAudio must be used to embed mp3 audio. Inserting audio with a link will not work as the Google Earth viewer cannot play quicktime properly.

Things that worked well

  • custom placemark icons
  • NextGen slideshow with wpaudio placed above slideshow allowed for listening to a soundscape while watching a slideshow of images
