The basics on adding transitions to a PowerPoint presentation.

Transition settings can be found under the 'Animations' heading at the top of the screen in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. Clicking on thumbnail buttons will give you a preview of their function. Clicking a thumbnail only applies the transition to the slide you're on, but if you wish to apply your selection to all of your slides, click the button to the right of the transition options called 'Apply To All'

When to Use This

  1. To make your project look more polished and thought out
  2. To indicate without words that the topic or focus of your Powerpoint is shifting
  3. To give a specific feeling to your project outside of just content or slide layout
