The Audio Lab recording studio is primarily used by the students in the introductory Audio Recording program. It is part of the Electronic Media's CCAM (TV area) studio and can also be used in conjunction with the Sound Effects Studio. Only students who are enrolled in the Audio Recording program or students with prior proficiency status can access this studio by filling out an audio studio work order at Media Loan.

Either a Yamaha 02R digital mixer or Toft ATB analog mixer can be used in conjunction with the Universal Audio Apollo X16 audio interface for recording to the Mac Studio. Stereo or 5.1 monitoring is available on Adam A-series monitors; an additional pair of Tannoy nearfield stereo monitors are also available. The Audio Lab also has audio tie lines to the Sound Effects Studio and TV Studio. This studio can be used by students enrolled in audio recording classes but is also open to students who have arranged to use it for independent study.
