How to render graphics.

After Effects

Graphics with an Alpha Channel

To render graphics for the CCAM that have an Alpha Channel (transparent layer):

  1. Add your composition to the render queue by selecting Composition > Add to Render Queue from the Menu bar.
  2. Access the Output Module Settings window by clicking on the word Lossless in the Render Queue.
  3. In Video Output, under Channels select RGB+Alpha from the drop down box.
  4. Click on Format Options to access the QuickTime Options window.
  5. Set your Video Codec to Animation or Apple ProRes 4444 in the drop down box.
  6. Back in the Render Queue, select your output destination and click Render in the upper right hand corner to render out your graphic.
  • Note: Always render your graphics to a file on the local computer, and then copy your file onto the server after it is finished.

Graphics without an Alpha Channel

To render graphics for the CCAM that do not have an Alpha Channel (transparent layer):

  1. Add your composition to the render queue by selecting Composition > Add to Render Queue from the Menu bar.
  2. Access the Output Module Settings window by clicking on the word Lossless in the Render Queue.
  3. In Video Output, under Channels select RGB from the drop down box.
  4. Click on Format Options to access the QuickTime Options window.
  5. Set your Video Codec to Apple ProRes 422 in the drop down box.
  6. Back in the Render Queue, select your output destination and click Render in the upper right hand corner to render out your graphic.
