When to Use This

Importing the following:

  • Microsoft equations or graph charts
  • Worksheets or charts from Microsoft Excel
  • Slides or whole presentations from Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Word documents
  • Documents created through Adobe applications, like Adobe Acrobat or Photoshop
  • Quicktime movies (.mov files)
  • OpenDocument presentation, spreadsheet, or text
  • ACD/3D or ACD/ChemSketch images
  • Bitmap images
  • Encapsulated postscripts
  • Flash documents
  • KaleidaGraph plots
  • Packages
  • WordPad documents
  • Photos from your camera


Note: You cannot import movies from Adobe Macromedia Director or a video DVD directly into your PowerPoint. Click here and here to find out how.


How to

To insert an Excel worksheet or chart, simply select the item you want to copy, right-click copy them, and then use the Paste or Paste Special commands in PowerPoint to paste them into a slide.
