Projector

  • The projector is stored in the "Doghouse". This is a silver pentagon shaped box in the middle of the room.
  • The "Doghouse" needs to be unlocked and opened for the projection to work.

Call Media Services for assistance at X6270.

Computer (built-in)

  1. On the touchscreen, press COMPUTER. This starts the projector and lowers the screen.
  2. Set the silver switch on the left side of the podium Mac Mini.
  3. The computer should be on, just press any key on the keyboard to wake it up.
  4. You must login with your TESC account to use the computer, and it may take a few extra moments to start up the first time you log in.
    • If you don’t have a TESC login, call Media Services at x6270 for access.
  • A USB extension cable is provided in case you can’t reach the back of the computer to plug in any external devices.
  • Always log out when you are done with the computer.

Computer (laptop)

  1. Plug the VGA cable from the left side of the podium into your laptop.
  2. On the touchscreen, press COMPUTER. This starts the projector and lowers the screen.
  3. Set the silver switch on the left side of the podium 'Laptop.
  4. For audio, use the "mini" audio cable that is bundled with the VGA cable.
  5. Use the grey ethernet cable or wireless for network access.
  • For best results, wait until everything is connected before turning on your laptop

DVD, VHS, TV

  • The media cabinet in Lecture hall 1 is located in the brown cabinet on the side of the stage.
  • You can also play your DVD through the computer.
  1. Insert media (DVD, VHS tape) in the the VCR of DVD player.
  2. On the podium touchscreen, press VIDEO then select source (DVD, VHS, TV, etc).
  3. Use the menu on the touchscreen to control players.

Document Camera

  1. Open the drawer on the right side of the podium.
  2. Turn on document camera, including lights.
  3. On the touchscreen press DOCUMENT CAMERA
  4. The image should appear on the monitor and projection screen.

Audio Sources

  1. Use the cassette deck or CD player in the media cabinet.
  2. On the podium touchscreen, press AUDIO and select either CD or TAPE.
  3. Use the touchscreen menu to control the decks.

Slide Projector

  • Located in the middle of the room
  1. Unlock the slide projector, and insert your slides.
  2. On the podium touchscreen, press single or dual slide projector (dual projectors available in LH3 & LH5).
  3. Use the touchscreen menu to control your media.
