Getting Started

  1. Rough Animator is a non-destructive animation software, which is available on all 5 iPad Pros in the Multimedia Lab.
  2. To open a new project, click "new project" and fill in a title. You can choose resolution and frame rate in this dialogue box but you can also change it later.

Transferring .RA files through iTunes

  1. Plug the iPad charging cable into the USB port
  2. Open iTunes and navigate to the small tablet icon on the top left menu bar
  3. Locate File Sharing -> Rough Animator
  4. Find your Rough Animator file and drag it onto the desktop.

Importing .RA files into AfterEffects

  1. Open AfterEffects and go to File->Scripts->RoughAnimator to AfterEffects script
  2. locate your .RA file and click on .txt
