Guidelines for Using MyWorkstation

General Instructions

  • Do not store your Evergreen password in your browser when connecting.
  • Log in only from home, not a coffee shop or elsewhere.
  • Make sure you have a password set up on your home router/network.
  • Make sure you have setup encryption on your home router (some tips here: https://www.comparitech.com/blog/information-security/secure-home-wireless-network/)
  • If possible, use a machine that no one else in the household uses.
  • Make sure your home machine is up to date on all patches.
  • Make sure your home machine is running anti-virus and is up to date on all anti-virus definitions.
  • Do not save sensitive data locally. Keep it in the cloud while you work on it.
