The iMac has built-in speakers, a built-in microphone and a Zoom UAC-2 USB audio interface
Most applications are configured to use the Zoom UAC-2 interface.
Speaker Levels
There is a big silver output knob on the front of the UAC -2
- Start with the Output level down.
- The knob is turned all the way to the left.
- Start playing sound in an application.
- Slowly turn the knob to the right to increase the volume.
Headphone Levels
There is a small headphone volume knob on the right above the headphone jack.
- Turn the silver Output level down
- The knob is turned all the way to the left
- Turn the headphone volume down
- The is knob turned all the way to the left
- Connect headphones to the headphone jack
- Slowly turn the headphone volume knob to the right to increase the volume
