AVCHD (Advanced Video Coding High Definition) is a file-based format for the recording and playback of high definition video. The Vixia video cameras at Media Loan use the AHCHD format.

File Management

When working with AVCHD files it's important to not rename the files and edit any of the contents of the AVCHD folder.

  5. Drag the AVCHD file to your folder on the desktop.
  6. When you down drag the memory card to the trash to eject it.
  7. Remove the memory card from the reader.

Viewing the footage with QuickTime

  1. Double click the AVCHD file on the desktop.
