Faculty are not able to add people to their Canvas site in a Student, TA, or Teacher role. This is intended to prevent possible FERPA issues. If you would like a Program/Teaching Assistant (TA), SIT, or fellow faculty added to your offering's Canvas site, please submit a request at help.evergreen.edu.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students enrolled in the course for credit cannot be promoted to the role of Program Assistant or TA due to FERPA.

If you would like someone added as Program/Teaching Assistant/SIT (TA) or Faculty (Teacher), please submit a request to Academic Technologies through help.evergreen.edu > Technology Help > Get Tech Help.

Your request should include, please:

  • your name
  • name/term of your offering and/or link/URL of the Canvas site person is to be added to
  • full name, Evergreen username, and Evergreen email address of the person you would like added - if you can provide their A#, that's really helpful
  • what Canvas role you would like the person added as - TA or Teacher (faculty have the ability to add Observers)
