JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides courteous and knowledgeable assistance to users of the Computer Center. Monitors the Computer Center, maintaining orderly conduct and enforcing policies. Performs general maintenance or clean-up tasks in the Center. Attendance at orientation and at weekly meetings and training sessions is required. Responsible for learning to use and troubleshoot the software available in the Computer Center -- Consultant I's are expected to develop skills of a Consultant II within one academic year.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Willingness to learn, Maturity, Responsibility, Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team, and Strong people and communication skills. Job-related experience working with people is highly desirable. Prior familiarity with computing is highly desirable, but students with little experience are encouraged to apply. [edit] Policies
