Step by Step Proficiency
- Make sure Monitor knob on the MOTU M4 is all the way down.
- Turn on the power strip on the computer desk.
- Turn on the computer.
- Open your preferred DAW.
- Save your project in a folder on the desktop.
- Set up a microphone and set recording levels.
- Set headphone levels.
- Record a microphone in the the DAW.
- Make sure to mute the input channel you are recording to.
- This will prevent latency in your monitoring path.
- Playback the recording
- Record an overdub onto another track.
- Playback both tracks though the speakers.
- Save the project and quit the application.
- Please normalize the room and vacuum if necessary.
- Log out and report any problems.
- Shut down computer and shut off the power strip on the computer desk.
- Make sure to pull the door shut and make sure it's locked.
