Managing Team Membership - Add/Remove

Alert: Once your Team has been created turn-off member permissions in your Team settings so that members cannot create private channels or delete channels.

Private Teams Only at Evergreen

In Microsoft Teams, public Teams are visible and accessible to everyone in the organization, while private Teams require explicit invitation and permission to join. For our organization we only allow the creation of private Teams for security reasons.

  • Private Teams: can only be joined if the team owner adds someone to them. All Team members can request a user be added but only the Team owner can approve membership.

Warning: IT strongly recommends that all Teams be set to "Private" and require an invitation to join.
