Secure Shell (SSH)

The Secure SHell, often abbreviated to SSH, is the succesor to telnet: A technology that allows you to remotely access UNIX shells (virtual terminals) and execute commands over a network. Unlike its predescessor it offers encryption of the data stream and increased security and privacy.
