When to Use This

Importing the following:

  • Microsoft equations or graph charts
  • Worksheets or charts from Microsoft Excel
  • Slides or whole presentations from Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Word documents
  • Documents created through Adobe applications, like Adobe Acrobat or Photoshop
  • Quicktime movies (.mov files)
  • OpenDocument presentation, spreadsheet, or text
  • ACD/3D or ACD/ChemSketch images
  • Bitmap images
  • Encapsulated postscripts
  • Flash documents
  • KaleidaGraph plots
  • Packages
  • WordPad documents
  • Photos from your camera


Note: You cannot import movies from Adobe Macromedia Director or a video DVD directly into your PowerPoint. Click here and here to find out how.


How to

  • To insert an Excel worksheet or chart, simply select the item you want to copy, right-click copy them, and then use the Paste or Paste Special commands in PowerPoint to paste them into a slide.
