WordPress sites associated with an academic program on sites.evergreen.edu will be archived and removed from production on an annual basis.

Curricular sites

These sites will be identified by Academic Computing staff as curricular, converted to flat html files and have all links localized by July 15. All non-protected pages will be hosted in a public archive at archives.evergreen.edu. Password protected pages will not be archived except by request. Faculty will be contacted prior to the deletion of the original site.

Recurring programs/course

Faculty can request their sites not be deleted if they plan to re-use the site for a recurring course or program. An archive will still be created of the past year but the original site will not be deleted.

Group, project or administrative sites

Group, project or administrative sites on blogs.evergreen.edu will only be archived and removed from production at the request of the owner.

Schedule

  • Academic program websites are flattened to html and moved to http://archives.evergreen.edu/ annually sometime after July 15th.
  • Individual sites will be archived after the expiration of an Evergreen login.
