Frequently asked questions about using WordPress at wordpress.evergreen.edu.
Single line spacing instead of double spacing
WordPress seems to automatically default to double spaces between the lines of text. Is there a way to make it single spaced? Answer: If you hit return when editing text word press will put in a double space - in the html it creates a paragraph tag. If you need a new line but you don't want a paragraph break hold down the shift key and hit return. This will create a line break instead.
How do you remove the comments box at the bottom of each page?
Answer: To get rid of the comments at the bottom of a page, edit the page and look for the discussion block to turn off comments. If you don't see the discussion block go to your screen options (upper right) and enable the discussion block. Now you should see the block and can un-check the ability for people to comment.
How do I attach a file to a WordPress post or page?
Answer: Use the Add Media button when editing the page or post and insert the file as if it were an image. See: how to attach a file to a WordPress post or page for detailed instructions.
What happens to my site when I graduate?
Answer: Once you graduate your site will be deleted 60 days from the date that your login has been disabled. See Exporting Your Blog for instructions on how to save the content of your blog and move it to another worpress installation.
