START UP PROCEDURES
- Log into the logbook
- Turn on the Neve (the "light switch" on the orange amp rack). Do not use the switches on the Neve's power supplies, just use the light switch.
- Explain the simple room flow
- Explain the normals between the NEVE and the Apollo X16s
- Turn ON the two 19" rack power units labeled for Apollos and Genelecs/Adams at the bottom of the rack (to the right of the Neve). There will be a pop from the Genelecs; this is normal.
- Both Apollos will power on.
- Use the LG Display Remote to turn on Display monitors
- Turn ON and login to the computer
- Make sure the Apollos sync with the Mac (a UA loading bar will briefly appear); Apollo A should have "Int" illuminated and Apollo B should have "Ext" illuminated. If they are reversed, power cycle them, turning A on first.
- OPTIONAL: Make a new folder with your name on it in the Storage drive
- (Storage drive folders are accessible to all users of the computer; anyone can modify or delete files here, but it is a good way to turn in assignments or share files with classmates).

- Turn the Cue send 1 and 2 up on the channel, and monitor the Cue send volume
- Open Pro Tools
- Select - New - 118 Multitrack Template
- Record the source that's on the NEVE
- Listen to the outputs of Pro Tools through the Neve's Monitor Controller (Apollo B Outputs 5-6 are normalled to the Neve's Ext Source In 1)
- Patch live mic to NEVE Penthouse MIC input
- Trim mic and check levels in Pro Tools
- Explain the Cue function in Pro Tools and where the Cue sends go on the NEVE
