Including supplementary items like images, data tables, flash animations, or video can enhance your PowerPoint presentation and help you highlight certain points.

When to Use This

  • Showing supplementary data using:
  1. Worksheets or charts from Microsoft Excel
  2. Microsoft Word documents
  3. Slides or whole presentations from other PowerPoint presentations
  • Adding pictures to illustrate ideas using:
  1. Documents created through Adobe applications, like Adobe Acrobat or Photoshop
  2. Bitmap images (.bmp files) - these are not so fancy but are very compatible with different image processing programs across different operating systems. For example, Windows Paint images are saved as .bmp files.

Note: You cannot import movies from Quicktime, Adobe Macromedia Director or a video DVD directly into your PowerPoint. You can visit the following for assistance.
