Shared mailboxes are used when multiple people need access to the same mailbox, such as a support email address, reception desk, or other function that various people might share.

About Shared Mailboxes at Evergreen

  • Shared mailboxes are created by request. Please submit a technology support request if you believe your workgroup needs a shared mailbox.
  • All changes to mailbox delegates must be made via a technology support request.
  • M365 Group Inboxes have similar functionality to Shared Inboxes but are connected to a Microsoft Team.
    • Team owners can manage M365 Group Inbox membership themselves.
