Students and Faculty: Past curricular Canvas sites are available at your Canvas "All Courses" page.

Canvas sites you are a member of are available at your Canvas "All Courses" list*, at least as read-access**, as long as:

  1. You have the same active Evergreen account you did when you became a member of the site.
  2. And the site owner/faculty hasn't closed the site. (See also section at this page, "Why is my Canvas site no longer showing at My Evergreen or my Canvas Dashboard?")
    • Read-access means you should be able to view and download most content at the site but interaction with discussions, assignments, quizzes, etc, has been closed.

*The "All Courses" list may be accessed via your Canvas Dashboard, canvas.evergreen.edu.

  • The Canvas Dashboard can be accessed via the "Canvas Home" link at My Evergreen
  • or by going directly to canvas.evergreen.edu
  • Step-by-step direction for accessing your "All Courses" list is available below in the "Where can I find my past Canvas site?" section.

Why is my Canvas site no longer showing at My Evergreen or my Canvas Dashboard?

  • About two terms after an offering (program/course) has completed, any Canvas sites associated with the offering are concluded (per an automated schedule).
  • When a Canvas site is concluded, its link is removed from My Evergreen.
  • If site access is closed by the site owner/faculty, the Canvas course will also be removed from your Canvas Dashboard and All Courses list.

Where can I find my past Canvas site?

Your past Canvas courses/sites are stored at your Canvas "All Courses" page, under the "Past Enrollments" section towards bottom of the page.

Canvas can be accessed from My Evergreen and the "Canvas Home" link, or directly at canvas.evergreen.edu.

In the Canvas global navigation menu at far left (has "Account" at top)

  1. click on "Courses" or the book icon
  2. in the slide-out window, click on the "All Courses" link at top
  3. at your "All Courses" page, scroll down to the "Past Enrollments" section

See also Canvas guide, How do I view all my Canvas courses?

Notes

  • If you are not seeing the site at all, it was likely closed by faculty or the site owner.
  • When a course has been concluded, it cannot be favorited to display at your Canvas Dashboard.

Faculty: How to request opening a concluded site

If you are not able to access content or student data at a past Canvas site, please submit a support request at https://help.evergreen.edu and include the following information:

  • site info: title, term and year, URL/link
  • that you need the site opened and brief description of purpose (for example: access student assignment submission data)
  • if you need access to student data, then student enrollments will need to be re-activated - please indicate whether it's
    • all students
    • or provide names for specific students

Our Canvas auto-conclude process

  1. initially closes sites about two quarters after the offering has concluded
  2. and then runs every week on Tuesday mornings
