Why use Copilot with Data Protection?

Enhanced Efficiency

Copilot streamlines tasks, whether generating content, analyzing data, summarizing documents, or writing code. Plus, every response is accompanied by sources so you know exactly where the information is coming from. Be sure to review the citations for generated responses.

Commercial Data Protection

Unlike consumer-oriented AI services, Copilot with Data Protection prioritizes security. Chat data is not saved and remains inaccessible to Microsoft or other large language models for training purposes. Your privacy and Evergreen's data are safeguarded.

Chat History Retention

When using Copilot via the web browser or as part of the Bing search engine, Copilot does not retain chat history, ensuring that sensitive information remains confidential. This feature sets it apart from other AI tools that store chat data. Chat history is available when using the Copilot app via office.com.

Identity Protection

Copilot uses your work or school account for authentication, ensuring that only authorized users can access it. Your identity remains protected, and Copilot cannot access your Microsoft 365 files.

No Training on Chat Data

Prompts and responses in Copilot are not used to train the underlying AI models. This separation ensures that our work content remains confidential.
