Network file space consists of protected folders on Evergreen servers available to all students, faculty, and staff.


Student and academic program shares are located on a server called Orca. Faculty and staff shares reside on Hurricane. Files saved on campus servers are accessible from all campus computers and backed up nightly.

Primary Servers

  • Orca is the primary file server for academic resources. This server hosts academic program shares, individual student shares (100 MB limit,) academic workgroups and research shares. For more help, contact Academic Technologies at 867-6231.
  • Hurricane is the primary file server for Faculty & Staff personal file shares (4 GB limit) as well as staff work areas. For help or to request more space, contact the Faculty/Staff Help Desk at 867-6627.
