The Audio Lab is one of the two intermediate multi-track recording studios built around an API 1608 mixing console.
The Audio Lab is a recording studio in Evans Hall, part of the Center for Creative and Applied Media (CCAM). It consists of a control room and adjacent live room with microphone and line receptacles, as well as tie lines to adjacent rooms including the TV Studio. The studio is centered around an API 1608 analog recording console, with a Universal Audio Apollo X16 audio interface for recording to the Mac Studio and an Otari MX-5050 1/2" 8 track tape machine. Stereo and/or 5.1 surround monitoring is available on Adam and JBL monitors. This studio is only available to students enrolled in advanced audio recording curriculum.
