A wiki is a type of website that allows users to add, remove, or otherwise edit and change most content very quickly and easily, sometimes without the need for registration. This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for collaborative writing. - from Wikipedia

Wikis are most often used when a program wants to create a collaborative knowledge-base. Evergreen uses the same base install of Mediawiki found at Wikipedia but can be customized to meet your needs. Wiki sites are available for all academic offerings and may requested by contacting your Academic Computing Liaison.

See: About Mediawiki at Evergreen for more on using wikis in your teaching.
