Accessibility Checklist with How-To Guides for Canvas and WordPress

Use the following checklist to make sure your website is useable by as many people as possible. Each item in the checklist is linked to its own how-to guide.

Is the page styled in proper heading format?

Does the site provide appropriate color contrast?

Do links use descriptive text?

Are lists created properly using the built-in bulleting/numbering tool?

Do images include alt (alternative) text?

Do videos have captions and/or transcripts?

Does audio, such as a podcast, have a transcript?

Are PDFs Accessible? (i.e. Can text be accessed by a screen reader?)

Why you're not seeing Tables in this list - Please don't use tables for formatting content, such as a class schedule. Tables are to be used for data only.
