If you need AV help, we have 3 options:

7:30 to 4:30 weekdays
Technology Help Desk dispatches Classroom Support to be there as soon as possible.
After 4:30 and on weekends Phone calls are converted to help tickets Please describe the problem in detail. Expect a follow-up the weekday after we receive the ticket.
Classroom Support
- General AV classrooms are supported by Classroom Support.
- We can also provide training for how to use the media classrooms.
- Please see also the Media Classrooms Overview for more information.
If you need to schedule more than just classroom support help, please contact Media Services through the Production Request form.
Things to know:
Most rooms without a podium do not have a built-in computer.
- We recommend bringing your own laptop when possible.
- For rooms with an Auxiliary Interface, there will be an HDMI input with cable, and a VGA jack with a cable that includes a miniplug for sound.
Display Adapters and Mac Laptops (MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air)
Depending on the model and year, you may need a display adapter to connect to projection via VGA or HDMI, such as:
- Mini DisplayPort
- HDMI (2014-2018)
- USB-C (2018 and newer)
Display Adapter Resources for Mac
- Information about your Mac's display output is available on Apple's support website, or consult with the Help Desk at LIB 1604.
- Media Loan carries an assortment of adapters for many Mac laptops, including Mini DisplayPort.
Display Adapters and Windows Laptops
- Some newer Dell computers have a USB-C port that will require an adapter for connecting
- Newer Microsoft Surface computers use the same kind of USB-C adapter to connect
- Previous versions of Microsoft Surface computers used the same Mini DisplayPort adapter required by some Macs
